🍎 Avoid at All Costs ！ Bad Habits That Ruin Children's English Skills Vol. 261021

Have you ever found yourself frantically searching for “How do you say this in English? …” while having a conversation in English?
Relying on translation is a bad habit that ruins your English skills—one that’s often picked up in Japanese schools.
I understand the urge to ask, “What does this word mean? ？,” but I absolutely do not recommend doing this.

Mixing Japanese and English—such as saying, “This is an apple. In English, it’s ‘apple’”—is also a no-no.

The principle for developing English-language thinking is to teach English using only English, as in “This is an apple.”

If a child asks, “What does this mean? ？,” don’t give them the answer right away; instead, ask them back, “What do you think it means? ？.”

Children will use all their imagination to figure out the meaning.

Cultivating this habit will be key to their success in learning English.

In TLC for Kids lessons, children can have fun while developing their English and Japanese skills through songs 👧👦

Let’s enhance learning outcomes while having fun with our original reading materials. ✏ ️

Counselors with extensive teaching experience in both Japan and the U.S. provide personalized learning plan support in Japanese for each family.

We guide even children who lack confidence in English or are just starting out to learn at their own pace and enjoy the process, helping them reach a proficiency level on par with—or even exceeding—that of their peers.
